पाठ्यक्रम परिचय

The Certificate Course on “Nayamīmāṁsā in Jain Philosophy” is a three-month online programme jointly organized by Samyakgyan Prachar-Prasar Trust, Jaipur, and the Jain Anusheelan Kendra, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. It gives a systematic and in-depth understanding of the Jain doctrine of Naya (standpoints) — one of the most distinctive contributions of Jain Philosophy.

The course introduces the foundations of Jain Logic — Pramāṇa, Naya and Syādvāda — and explores the philosophical basis, classifications and practical significance of the Nayas: Niścaya–Vyavahāra, Dravyārthika–Paryāyārthika, and the classical seven Nayas. Combining theoretical inquiry with practical reflection, it seeks to cultivate critical thinking, intellectual openness and a deeper appreciation of Anekānta.

Participants who complete the requirements receive a certificate issued jointly with the Jain Anusheelan Kendra, University of Rajasthan.

Terms & conditions

Course fee

  • The registration fee for the course is ₹199.
  • The course fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Registration is confirmed only after successful payment of the course fee.

Attendance

  • Classes are ordinarily held on Saturdays and/or Sundays, as per the course schedule.
  • Participants are expected to attend all scheduled classes with punctuality, sincerity, and active participation.
  • In exceptional circumstances, absence may be considered only at the discretion of the organizers.

Academic discipline

  • Participants are expected to maintain academic integrity, discipline, and respectful conduct throughout the programme.
  • Any form of misconduct, disruption, or inappropriate behaviour may lead to cancellation of participation without any refund.

Assignments and activities

  • Weekly assignments, monthly tasks, and creative learning activities are integral components of the programme.
